- New Browser : Links2
With new hardware comes a new web browser. The Links2 client from Twibright Labs is now available. It's good to see anothe actively supported text based web browser out there.
- New hardware
We've moved to new hardware which may or may not improve peformance, but no doubts will mean that things are a little flakey for a bit as we find all the old dependencies that no longer work.
After a rather longher than expected outage the ScramWorks public lynx client is back. The move to Ubuntu was not without problems but then we had some further sevrer issues which lost some of the development work and things had to be re-invented. However all is resolved now with a bit of luck.
After years of living in my loft the lynx server is going to be moving to a real colo center. This also means we'll be leaving behind OpenBSD to move onto Ubuntu. I expect this to happen within the month, I also expect disruption.
Both Lynx and elinks have been upgraded to: lynx-2.8.7rel1 and elinks-0.12pre5 respectively. Also we are now available via IPv6 as well as providing access to the IPv6 web.
